1. Players hit the object balls using the same cue ball. There are 21 object balls of different colors: red ball for one point each; yellow ball for two points; green ball for three points; brown ball for four points;blue ball for five points; pink ball for six points; black ball for seven points.
2. Order of play: pot a red ball before potting any other colored balls until all red balls are off the table.
3. The points of each ball pocketed in a shot are given to the striker.
4. The penalization of fouls are added to the opponent's score.
5. The basic tactic in snooker is to try to keep the cue ball where your opponent has balls to hit next. This means creating obstacles for your opponent.
6. The player that wins the most games or gets the most points is the winner.
